Our church recently held an open house for our Kids 4 Truth night for the different age groups.  We had the parents involved in the truth lesson time, listening to their own child with the supervision of a K4T leader, listening to the truth lesson time, singing in choir with them, etc.  The parents were able to see how the night is run and also ask questions.  They were also able to get to know the leaders who work with their children each week. In order to accomodate parents with children in different age groups each group had a different night (i.e. Discovers on 1st Wednesday night, Defenders on 2nd Wednesday night, etc.) 

What a neat idea!  We love any idea that gets parents involved and shows them what their child is learning.  This would be an excellent time to give out Parent Information Packets if the parents have not already received them. 

Getting parents on board with your club will not only help foster faithful attendance, but also help the children learn more as the parents will come along side their child and help them to learn the curriculum.  When this happens, you will find the children earning more awards and doing very well in the program.

I like the idea of working parent night out so that parents with children in different age groups can attend each of their children's groups.  As a parent with five children, I can definitely see the advantage of this.
