Two Videos That Move Me

In Kitwe, ZambiaI left a part of my heart in Zambia, and today I am keenly aware of my desire to go back. Someday.

These videos were filmed in January 2005 during a week of camp with about 160 Zambian youth. I was privileged to be a part of a Camps Abroad team that included Matt Collier and Willie Partin.

VIDEO #1Marie Gives Glory to God! (About 2 minutes long and 2.5MB)

A God-glorifying testimony from a new convert. Notice her theology: she says “I want to thank . . . Almighty God for what He has done to me.” This video is worth your time. If nothing else, it will help remind you about the one thing you won’t be able to do in heaven — evangelize the lost.

VIDEO #2I’m An African Fish! (About 1 minute long and 2MB)

This was a profound moment for me as the Zambian teens rushed to get “seconds” at dinnertime. What was truly shocking for me is the food to which they rushed: Booka Booka (sp?)! This is a fantastic video for ungrateful children (and adults). Praise God for what you have, and be sobered by how comfortable God has allowed you to be.

Go to Zambia. Save your life by losing it in the Gospel. Matthew 10:39 -- He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
